Seats 1200 people in a sloping auditorium. The sanctuary is fully air-conditioned, has full video and sound desks and also comprises a babies/nursing room upstairs and a toddlers play room downstairs. The bookshop (Word on the Street), library and Street Café are housed outside the sanctuary in the foyer area, known as The Street.
The chapel is located to the west of the sanctuary and is a popular venue for weddings, and a good location for funerals and smaller more intimate meetings. It is has a quaint traditional church feel with solid wooden pews and stained glass windows incorporated from our previous church in Rosebank CBD. All set in our lush, well-maintained gardens.
In the main building are several rooms that are used for small and large meetings. These rooms are signposted in The Street and comprise the Alpha and Beta rooms upstairs, and the Jerusalem, Galilee and Garden rooms downstairs, off The Street.
The recently acquired property, situated opposite the main church offices is used by Rays of Hope and Rose-Act. The house also offers an open area for training and meetings.
XChange is the new Children's and Youth Centre currently under construction. It will be a vibrant facility for our Next Generation Ministries.
The Counselling Centre offers safe, confidential and professional help to anyone in need, both within the church as well as in the broader community. Referrals are made when appropriate. The Counselling Centre is situated in the large cream coloured house at the back of the church.
The Street Café is an elegant meeting place seating up to 60 people. We serve fair trade coffee, tea, light lunches, toasted sandwiches and snacks.

The Bookshop at RUC (Word on the Street) opened in 2000 under the management of Scripture Union. Early in 2006, the church decided to take over the management and operations of the shop, when it became Word on the Street. In March 2008, Word on the Street, partnered with Christian Book Discounters. Word on the Street is efficiently run by Lily Sheppard and Lynn Bradley.
The purpose of Word on the Street is to make wholesome Christian books available at discounted prices directly to those who visit RUC, fulfilling its mission of providing vital nourishment for the soul of the church.
The store is generously stocked with recommended books and Bible studies together with relevant commentaries and inspirational readings. We not only supply RUC but also churches in the surrounding areas, going as far as Namibia, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
Visit Word on the Street for current specials.
The bookshop hours are:
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:00
Saturday 09:00 to 12:00
