If you've got a heart for people and a passion for prayer, join our intercessory prayer team to pray during evening services. We also need people who can pray for people after the evening services. Contact us if you want to participate in this God-focussed ministry.

We also have a group of people who meet on Wednesday evenings at 18:30 to pray before the evening small group time. Meet at the Street Café if you're keen.

Street Café

On wednesday evenings the Street Café is always a buzz of activity with the young adults sharing a meal together or a cup of coffee. So if you've got a gift of hospitality oozing out your veins, we could use your help to keep things running smoothly!

Rays of Hope & Roseact Saturday School

Here are some great opportunities to serve in Alex through Roseact. Louise Cameron writes:

1. CHRISTIAN CLUB: We need one or more people (possibly a team) to take our Christian club every Saturday afternoon at 14h30 to 16h00.  Last year we had Gina Skosana, who was such a live wire and would allow the kids to talk about the whole gambit of topics from sex, dating and personal issues, and she would answer from a Christian perspective. Then we had about 45 kids ages ranging from 12 to 18yrs. Now , we have a quiet pastor, who is lovely but does not fit the bill for last year’s group. He has a different small group of about 8 mostly grade 6 kids who attend. I am wanting a much greater spiritual input into Rose-Act, especially from this slot.
2. WORSHIP: The Rose-Act kids love to sing worship songs, so a group of singers and musicians to come in regularly (maybe once a month if not every week)
3. EVANGELISM: A once a term (twice a year?) “evangelistic” meeting, where members of your group can come in for a day or a morning and sing and preach.
4. CHRISTMAS PARTY: Every year we have a Christmas party, that we would love to have a stronger Christian presence in. This year it is on the 27th November. If they are interested, I can send you info of what usually happens on that day. You could make a real day of it, with food and decorations and games etc.
